- Eventually, he decides to restore his honor by helping the Team Avatar end the Hundred Year War.

- Possesses Plot Armor: Zuko manages to survive countless perils, from his ship being blown up by pirates, to being revived by Katara after being hit by Azula’s lightning.
- Short-Tempered: Zuko is arguably the most temperamental of Team Avatar, most famously exploding into a moment of rage at the beach.
- Spiky Hair/Unnatural Hairstyle: Zuko has short spiky hair throughout Book 2 and 3, and has an unusually long top-knot in Book 1.
- Has a Rival/a Mentor: Zuko has a temporary rivalry with Aang and his uncle Iroh is his mentor and father figure.
