Vegeta is an antagonist turned deuteragonist of the Dragon Ball franchise.
He is voiced by Ryo Horikawa in the Japanese version of the anime and by Brian Drummond in the Ocean Dub and Christopher R. Sabat in the Funimation dub.
What Makes Him a Shonen Hero?[]
- Heroic/Honorable: Vegeta plays a major role in saving the world countless times.
- Courageous/Reckless: Vegeta sacrificed himself to defeat Majin Buu to save his loved ones.
- Energetic: While he is not as hyperactive as Goku or as excitable as Gohan, Vegeta is rather hotblooded.
- Stubborn: Due to his pride as a Saiyan warrior, Vegeta can be rather hesitant to ask for help and prefers to do things by himself.
- Pursues a Big-End Goal: Like Goku, Vegeta wants to become the strongest.
- Hard-Working: Though he was born with more power than Goku due to his royal heritage, Vegeta trains himself on a daily basis.
- Determined: Due to his pride as the Prince of Saiyans, Vegeta refuses to beg for help or back down from a dangerous enemy.
- Confident/Cocky: Vegeta possesses an enormous pride in himself and his abilities, to the point he can come off as cocky and egotistical.
- Possesses Plot Armor: Vegeta died two times throughout the series and gets revived from both moments.
- Spiky Hair: Vegeta has spiky hair.
- Has a Rival/Mentor: Goku is Vegeta's main rival and he is taken under Beerus's wing to control his Ultra Ego form.
- Short-Tempered: Vegeta is one of the angriest characters in the franchise.
- Big Eater/Drinker: As a Saiyan, Vegeta has a humongous appetite.
- Tragic Past: While Vegeta was oddly casual when hearing of their extinction, it still impacted him enough to make him decide to avenge the Saiyans by killing Frieza.
- Is a Blood Knight: Like Goku, Vegeta gets joy out of fighting worthy opponents.
- Is a Challenge Seeker: Vegeta refuses to remain stagnant and wishes to push himself beyond his limits in pursuit of surpassing Goku.
- Is a Primary-Colored Champion: Vegeta has blue and gold body armor.
