I mean, for a formality on a character this well-known and iconic, said formality should at least use a picture of the candidate
Okay. Gabby was a candidate that I personally proposed all the way back in April. Now, looking back on it, it's shockingly outdated by today's standards and with the new rule changes along with the release of a third season, I've decided that Gabby now warrants a formality post to stay on this Wiki. Now, I don't think any of my other candidates here need a new discussion as I feel updating the page is enough in their case. However, Gabby herself isn't the easiest candidate ever and her original proposal was a little divisive. After all, she is a main character in Analog Horror, which is a disallowed sub-genre for a reason. That said, I'm even more sold on her counting now than when I proposed her back in April. Something to say is that part of this proposal is copied from her original Shonen Hero Proposal and official Pure Good Proposal but I personally made those so there isn't really an issue with plagiarism. I should also thank Ferrari Fan 488 for giving me permission to make this formality in the first place.
What's The Work?[]
Angel Hare is an Analog Horror series made by the East Patch. It follows Jonah Whitman as he tries to find his old friend, Angel Gabby and resurfaces past memories. Unlike most Analog Horror, Angel Hare is a relatively wholesome series and subverts traditional tropes of the sub-genre despite having some unsettling moments and aspects from time to time. The full show has three seasons and is on YouTube.
Who Is She?[]
Angel Gabby is the deuteragonist of the Angel Hare. Originally, she seems to simply be a simple cartoon mascot for Angel Hare but eventually, it is revealed that she is the Archangel Gabriel who served as the guardian angel of Jonah, the main protagonist of the show. As his guardian angel, Angel Gabby served as essential emotional support for the young boy after becoming aware of his abusive father. Future seasons reveal that she isn't the only angel with the reveal of Angel Zag and Camael, who basically try to help other children like Gabby in their own way.
What Makes Her a Shonen Hero?[]
- Heroic/Honorable: he gives much needed support to many kids with her show, served as a comforting figure in Jonah's life and attempted to help the internet at the cost of breaking down.
- Courageous: Decided to try and save the internet despite being at risk of breaking down and even expressed that she wasn't afraid about going into Hyrax in the Rocks despite the risks.
- Pursues a Big-End Goal: Gabby is devoted to help as many children as she can, even those on the internet.
- Hard-Working: Gabby strove to keep herself together to help the internet despite the immense strain it put on her.
- Optimistic: Always preached to Jonah about the importance of maintaining faith and hope.
- Idealistic: While Pragmatic at times, Gabby ultimately believes that anyone can live a good life as long as they follow God and the Bible.
- Determined: Outright stated that she wasn't afraid about going into Hyrax in the Rocks despite the risks.
- Confident/Cocky: Gabby is generally assured in her path towards her goals.
- Believes in the Power of Friendship: Jonah, one of the kids she greatly helped, was able to allow Gabby to help the internet without breaking down. Furthermore, she often works with her friends and allies to achieve her goals and even suggested to Jonah to go to a friend's house for his alibi.
- Possesses Plot Armor: Only escaped from being trapped in a FWTD thanks to Jonah's assistance.
- Short-Tempered: While not a very prominent trait, Gabby can become more stern when the situation becomes more serious.
- Has an Idol: Idolizes God.
- Forgiving: Forgave Francis for reading her mail without her permission.
- Is a Primary-Color Champion: Is a white rabbit wearing yellow clothes.
- Is a True Hero: Was willing to sacrifice herself to a FWTD to support the internet.
Verdict[]
Like I said before, I'm even more sold on her counting than when I made her original proposal. While Analog Horror is a disallowed sub-genre for the Shonen Hero Archetype with many characters not possessing the personalities needed, Angel Hare is listed as an exception only because of Gabby, who is the main reason why the series is more light-hearted and less dark than most other shows in the genre. As the harbinger of hope and the one true light of Analog Horror, Gabby certainly keeps her spot on this Wiki.
