Peter Benjamin Parker, also known as Spider-Man, is one of the main protagonists of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

He was portrayed by Tom Holland.

What Makes Him a Shonen Hero?[]

  • Heroic/Honorable: Peter has used his superpower to stop street crimes across New York, and also stopped and played a role in stopping global and even multiversal threats such as Thanos, Mysterio, and the villains from his alternate counterparts' universes, and rarely kills his enemies unless in self-defense or accidental.
  • Courageous/Reckless: When Peter was a powerless child, he stood bravely against a Hammer Drone targeting him, even though he would know the drone could easily kill him. Later, when he gets his powers and becomes Spider-Man, he would fearlessly fight against different enemies, including Thanos.
  • Energetic: Peter is extremely excitable and displays a hotblooded side in combat.
  • Stubborn: Peter has several stubborn moments, such as trying to defeat Vulture despite having his suit confiscated and being ordered to not meddle in hero work.
  • Pursues a Big-End Goal: Peter wants to be a superhero and protect New York.
    • Not only that, he also wanted to clear his name and make sure everybody forgot about his secret identity in No Way Home.
  • Hard-Working: Peter has been shown to work quite diligently in his goal to become a great hero.
  • Optimistic: No matter the difficulties, Peter keeps his head up.
  • Idealistic: Instead of sending them back to die in their original universes, Peter chooses to cure the villains from his alternate counterparts' universes.
  • Possesses Plot Armor: In Infinity War, Peter dies from the Snap, but is later revived in Endgame by the Hulk as part of the blip.
  • Short-Tempered: While he is mostly laid-back and kind, Peter displays a clear vengeful side against his enemies as long as they hurt his loved ones.
  • Has Rivals/Mentors: Peter rivaled with Flash Thompson and Brad Davis at school, and is mentored by Iron Man.
  • Has an Idol: As a child, Peter looked up to Iron Man and wanted to become a superhero like him.
  • Mischievous: Peter has a mischievous side, and taunts his enemies in combat.
  • Rebellious: In order to defeat Vulture, Peter disobeyed several orders he was given to do so.
  • Is a Primary-Colored Champion: Like almost every incarnation of Spider-Man, Peter's costume mainly consists of red and blue, with gold parts on his Iron Spider armor.
