Silver the Hedgehog is a major character in the Sonic the Hedgehog series serving as one of the three main protagonists (alongside Sonic and Shadow) of the 2006 game Sonic the Hedgehog, the deuteragonist of the Sonic Rivals duology, a supporting character in Sonic Generations, Template:Sonic Forces and the Sonic the Hedgehog and the tritagonist of the Metal Virus Saga. He was voiced by Pete Capella, Quinton Flynn, and currently by Bryce Papenbrook in the English version, and by Daisuke Ono (who also voiced Jotaro Kujo) in the Japanese version.
What Makes Him a Shonen Hero?[]
- Heroic/Honorable: Silver is described as having "a strong sense of justice". In Sonic '06, he has traveled from the future in an attempt to prevent the ruining of his time and eventually saved the world with Sonic and Shadow.
- Courageous/Reckless: Silver has shown his courage when fighting against enemies such as Iblis. After some stories, Silver has no hesitation to seal Iblis in his body, though his body rejected.
- Stubborn: Silver, initially believing Mephiles' lie which claims that Sonic is the Iblis Trigger who is responsible for Iblis' awakening, attempts to destroy Sonic several times even when being interrupted.
- Pursues a Big-End Goal: In Sonic '06, Silver pursues to change the ruined future he lived in.
- Unintelligent: Silver has been described as naïve and immature. Silver tends to take people's words without question.
- Spiky Hair: Being a hedgehog, Silver has quills on his head that is equivalent to having spiky hair.
- Unnatural Hair Color: Unlike real-life hedgehogs, Silver has silver quills for hair.
