Sherlock Holmes is a deuteragonist of the Moriarty the Patriot.
He was voiced by Makoto Furukawa (who also voiced Saitama) in Japanese and by Theo Devaney in the English dub.
What Makes Him a Shonen Hero?[]
- Heroic/Honorable: Sherlock has exposed the crimes and atrocities of the corrupt English nobility, took down Charles Augustus Milverton and served as a catalyst for the redemption of William, the Lord of Crime.
- Courageous/Reckless: Sherlock was willing to jump to his death in order to try and stop William from commiting suicide and killed Milverton despite knowing that it could end his investigation on the Lord of Crime.
- Energetic: While normally calm, Sherlock displays an excitable side whenever there happens to be a case of his interest.
- Stubborn: Sherlock is willing to use illegal means to conduct his investigations such as lying to the police, hiding evidence or breaking into private property.
- Pursues a Big-End Goal: Sherlock was aiming to try and investigate and expose the Lord of Crime who was an enigmatic and dangerous foe.
- Believes in the Power of Friendship: Sherlock values the assistance of his helper and friend, John H. Watson, to the point where he is willing to acknowledge and make up mistakes in their friendship while also trying to save William, whom he considered a friend.
- Possesses Plot Armor: Sherlock survived falling down a bridge into the water in an attempt to save William.
- Unnatural Hair Color: Sherlock possesses blue hair.
- Has Rivals: Initially, Sherlock held a friendly rivalry with William before being friends at the end of Part 1.
- Rebellious: Sherlock commonly goes against traditional norms such as breaking the law for his own idea of right and wrong whilst also going against the classist society in England.
- Is a Challenge-Seeker: Sherlock finds immense pleasure in cases, and is willing to do anything to solve them.

- Along with Giorno Giovanna, Angel Gabby, and his rival William, Sherlock is one of the only four Shonen Heroes to be Magnificent Baddies and the only one to be the Ultimate Good of their franchise other than Gabby.
- Along with his rival William, Sherlock is one of the two characters who meet the criteria of every heroic archetype.
