Phoenix Wright, or Ryuuichi Naruhodou, is the main protagonist of the Ace Attorney (Gyakuten Saiban/Turnabout Trial in Japan) franchise. He is the titular main protagonist of the series's first trilogy, the overarching protagonist in the fourth, one of the two main protagonists (alongside Athena Cykes) in the fifth and one of the two main protagonists (alongside Apollo Justice) in the sixth.

What Makes Him a Shonen Hero?[]

  • Heroic/Honorable: Phoenix Wright has found the truth of different cases in court. Initially, Phoenix Wright believes Mia Fey's teaching of believing his clients, and Phoenix Wright changes the belief into seeking the truth as a lawyer in court.
  • Courageous/Reckless: Despite Phoenix Wright has encountered difficulties, including but not limited to threats, they cannot stop him from seeking the truth.
  • Stubborn: Phoenix Wright keeps his ideal of fighting for the truth as a lawyer in court despite his ideal has been challenged by several events, including but not limited to the "dark age of the law" as a result of his disbarment.
  • Pursues a Big-End Goal: Phoenix Wright pursues to seek the truth as a lawyer in court.
  • Believes in the Power of Friendship: Phoenix Wright has his friends and allies helping him to seek the truth, and he does treasure his friends.
  • Possesses Plot Armor: Phoenix Wright has endurance considered superhuman. For example, he survives falling from great height.
  • Spiky Hair: Phoenix Wright has spiky hair.
  • Has Rivals/Mentors: Miles Edgeworth is Phoenix Wright's childhood friend and initial rival. Mia Fey is Phoenix Wright's mentor.
