You want Osmosis? YOU GOT OSMOSIS!!!
~ Osmosis's catchphrase

Osmosis "Ozzy" Jones is the titular main protagonist of the film of the same name. In the film, he is voiced by Chris Rock and in the sequel TV show Ozzy & Drix, he is voiced by Phil LaMarr.

What Makes Him a Shonen Hero?[]

  • Heroic/Honorable: Ozzy saves the City of Frank from the deadly virus Thrax who plans to kill Frank.
  • Courageous/Reckless: Ozzy is willing to put his life on the life to save innocent cells in the City of Frank.
  • Energetic: Ozzy has his moments of being hammy and manic.
  • Stubborn: Ozzy wants to get the job done in his own way despite other cops warning him not to.
  • Pursues a Big-End Goal: After years of failure in capturing criminals and not being respected by those in the police department, Ozzy wants to become a great cop in his own right to earn the respect of those who mock him.
  • Unintelligent: While Ozzy is quite street-smart, is a great combatant and has proficient detective skills, he is also rather impulsive and quick to do things without thinking them through.
    • He is also rather book-dumb, which is justified, given that he grew up in a poor neighborhood in the digestive tract where he has no resources to have access to quality education.
  • Hard-Working: Ozzy makes plenty of effort to capture criminals.
  • Optimistic: Despite all of his misfortunes, Ozzy refuses to let his life give him an excuse to be jaded.
  • Determined: No matter what stands in his way, Ozzy would be the last one to back down from a fight.
  • Believes in the Power of Friendship: Though he was initially wary of him, Ozzy comes to believe in Drixenol's ability to accomplish anything if he puts his mind to it. Inspired by the former's encouragement, Drixenol helps him save the City of Frank.
  • Possesses Plot Armor: Ozzy manages to survive dangerous situations, such as Frank's runny nose and escaping from Shane's fake eyelash before it fell into a glass of rubbing alcohol, which could've dissolved him.
  • Unnatural Hair Color: Despite being a white blood cell, Ozzy has a light shade of blue in his hair and skin.
  • Oblivious to Love: While Ozzy has a crush on Leah, he is unaware of how she feels about him due to the latter never openly showing her interest in him until later on.
  • Short-Tempered: While he is usually laid-back, Ozzy can lose his patience at times, especially with Drixenol messing with his car or cops disrespecting him.
  • Mischievous: Ozzy has his moments of teasing Drixenol and giving him silly nicknames.
  • Rebellious: Despite being a cop, Ozzy sees how corrupt the police system is and plays by his own rules.
  • Is an Underdog: Ozzy starts out as an underachieving cop, but after saving Frank from Thrax, he gains everyone's respect.
  • Is a True Hero: Ozzy risks his life to defeat Thrax and save Frank even after being fired, showing how much cares about the safety of the city.
  • Is a Mascot with Attitude: Ozzy has the swagger, the rebellious streak, and the determination to keep the city of Frank safe. His quick wit, fearless nature, and unique style make him stand out. Whether he’s taking down pathogens or cracking jokes, Ozzy's confident, no-nonsense attitude combined with his memorable personality brings a cool, dynamic energy to his world and embodies a bold and fearless spirit.
