Oscar Diggs also known as Wizard of Oz or simply Oz is the titular main protagonist of the 2013 Disney fantasy adventure film Oz the Great and Powerful.
He is played by James Franco.
What Makes Him A Shonen Hero?[]
- Heroic/Honorable: Saves the entire country from Theodora and Evanora.
- Courageous/Reckless: Is more than willing to save the Oz country, even if initially for selfish reasons.
- Energetic: Being a magician, who works in a circus, forces him to be so.
- Stubborn: He refuses to tell that he isn't that type of a magician that everyone expects him to be.
- Pursues a Big-End Goal: To save the Oz country.
- Optimistic: Is only seen in bad mood when something goes as he doesn't want.
- Determined: He refuses to give up when it comes to saving the Oz country.
- Confident/Cocky: He initially is hugely arrogant.
- Unpredictable: Towards Theodora and Evanora at least.
- Believes in the Power of Friendship: He is a good friend to Finley and to the China girl.
- Oblivious to Love: He doesn't notice that Theodora loves him. This costs him seriously.
- Possesses Plot Armor: No matter how much of a threat Theodora is to him, he won't give up.
- Mischievous: A person, who works in a circus just cannot be imagined in any other way but this.
- Is a Chick/Dude Magnet: Literally was a Casanova before.
- Is a True Hero: While Glinda is Pure Good, he is also heroic because the plan how to save the Oz country was initially his.
- Street-Smart: He uses the tricks he used in the circus, to save the Oz country.
