Miles Woodman is the main protagonist of Our Friend, Martin. He was voiced by Robert Ri'chard.
What Makes Him a Shonen Hero?[]
- Heroic/Honorable: After learning of Dr. King's assassination in 1968, Miles time-travels to save him by transporting his 12-year-old self to his present. However, when it resulted in a prejudiced timeline where Dr. King never accomplished his activism, Miles sacrifices his plan to save him by letting him go back to his time in order to fix the timeline.
- Courageous/Reckless: Miles wanted to save Dr. King from his death even though it backfired.
- Energetic: Being 12 years old, Miles loves to play baseball.
- Stubborn: Miles messes with the timeline despite of Mrs. Peck's warning.
- Pursues a Big-End Goal: Miles studies Dr. King's life to make up for his poor grades in order to be promoted from the sixth grade to the seventh grade.
- Hard-Working: Miles puts in a great amount of effort in his essay of Dr. King, which leads to him receiving an A and being promoted to the seventh grade.
- Optimistic: Miles sees the positives in his life despite of his moments of doubts.
- Believes in the Power of Friendship: After taking Dr. King's peaceful approaches to heart, Miles befriends his bully Kyle.
- Short-Tempered: Miles can be combative at times, specifically when being harassed by Kyle or misjudged by prejudiced white people.
- Mischievous: Miles taunted Kyle after outrunning to the school bus.
- Rebellious: Miles enters the school despite being told to leave by the principal.
- Is a Primary-Color Champion: Miles wears a blue, red and white shirt, blue pants, red and white shoes and a golden earring in his left ear.
