Miles "Tails" Prower is the deuteragonist of the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise.
He is voiced by Corey Bringas, Connor Bringas, William Corkery, Amy Palant, Kate Higgins, and currently Colleen O'Shaughnessy in the English version and by Ryo Hirohashi in Japanese.
What Makes Him a Shonen Hero?[]
- Heroic/Honorable: Tails has regularly helped Sonic defeat all sorts of threats and has never been shown to be lethal or sadistic.
- Courageous: Tails hardly shows fear when facing enemies, and has put his life on the line on a regular basis when the world is threatened.
- Energetic: While not as hyperactive as Sonic or as hotblooded as Knuckles or Shadow, Tails has shown an excitable side from time to time.
- Pursues a Big-End Goal: Tails strives to help protect the world from all sorts of threats.
- Hard-Working: Tails has been shown to work rather hard on his creations.
- Optimistic: While he can feel down at times, Tails is generally an optimist.
- Determined: Tails doesn't give up on anything he wants to do.
- Confident: Tails is confident in his intellect and although he starts off as insecure about them, slowly shows some level of confidence in his twin tails as well.
- Believes in the Power of Friendship: Due to Sonic's influence, Tails would depart from his shy and timid personality and become more confident and outgoing.
- Spiky Hair: Tails has three spiky quiffs sticking out of his head.
- Unnatural Hair Color: Unlike real foxes, even those in-universe, Tails has bright yellow hair.
- Has an Idol: Tails used to look up to Sonic before becoming friends with him, to the point he would become rather shy when he first met him.
- Has a Rival: Tails has a rivalry with Dr. Eggman and Wave.
- Tragic Past: Due to his genetic abnormality, Tails was frequently picked on by other foxes in his childhood.
- Is a Primary-Colored Champion: Tails has yellow fur, blue eyes, and red shoes.
- Is a True Hero: Aspiring to do what Sonic has done before him, Tails often helps people without asking for anything in return.
- Is a Mascot With Attitude: Tails has a confident and cheerful personality, has great inventing skills, and can fly using his tails.
- Is a Kid Hero: Tails is 8 years old.
