Martin Seamus "Marty" McFly is the main protagonist of the science fiction/comedy film trilogy Back to the Future.
He is an 80s teenager who lives in Hill Valley, California and is friends with Emmett Brown. He unwillingly becomes the first human time traveler, when he accidentally activates the time machine DeLorean. From this moment, he goes through several adventures in the past, where he meets his family and changes history, sometimes for the best, sometimes for the worst. He dreams about becoming a successful rock star, which he did.
He was portrayed by Michael J. Fox (films), David Kaufman (cartoon), and A.J. LoCascio (video game).
What Makes Him A Shonen Hero?[]
- Heroic/Honorable: Changes his parents' life to better, erases bad timeline, created by Biff and saves Doc from being killed.
- Reckless: He has some reckless decisions, such as when he bought the almanac, which caused Biff to create the very same bad universe.
- Energetic: His energetic side sometimes gets the better of him.
- Stubborn: He tried to warn Doc what would happened to him in 1985, but the latter didn't want to listen.
- Pursues a Big-End Goal: To return to 1985 (first and third films); to erase the bad future (second film).
- Confident/Cocky: Was until realised his mistakes.
- Unpredictable: For Biff.
- Resilient: He became less reckless.
- Believes in the Power of Friendship: His best friend is Doc.
- Possesses Plot Armor: This "plot armor" is called a time machine.
- Short-Tempered: "Nobody calls me a chicken".
- Has Rivals/Mentors: Doc is his mentor and Biff is his rival.
- Is a Neglectful Parent: And how else it can be explained that his son became such a coward (much like Marty's father George)?

- Is a Teen Hero: Based that he says that he will be 47 in 2010-s and he has a driver's licence, he is 17.
