MK is the main protagonist of Lego Monkie Kid.
He is voiced by Jack DeSena, who also voices as Sokka from Avatar: The Last Airbender and Callum from The Dragon Prince.
What Makes Him a Shonen Hero?[]
- Heroic/Honorable: MK, along with his allies, has defeated threats such as the Demon Bull King, the Spider Queen, and the Lady Bone Demon.
- Courageous/Reckless: Before awakening his power, MK is already courageous enough to travel to the Flower Fruit Mountain as the Demon Bull King is freed. After awakening his power, MK has generally shown little fear fighting against the threats, and sometimes his impulsiveness causes him to be defeated.
- Energetic: Though he is not always energetic due to his food-delivering work, MK is generally portrayed as an energetic person, which is also shown in his fights and chases.
- Stubborn: MK has shown that he is a stubborn person. An example is that his initial fight against the Lady Bone Demon as he attempts to keep fighting despite the Lady Bone Demon has acquired the ability of absorbing MK's power. MK's power is absorbed as a result of this stubborn decision.
- Believes in the Power of Friendship: As MK himself is unable to defeat all threats by himself, he has help from his allies, such as Mei, Pigsy, Tang, and Sandy.
- Possesses Plot Armor: Before awakening his power, MK is defeated by Princess Iron Fan. While his allies believes that MK could not survive the situation, MK survives and meets the Monkey King himself.
- Spiky Hair: MK has spiky hair.
- Has Mentors: MK is mentored by Monkey King.
- Has an Idol: MK obsesses with the heroic stories of Monkey King.
- Is a Primary-Color Champion: MK usually wears an orange jacket and red trousers.
