Knuckles the Echidna, or simply Knuckles, is one of the two tritagonists of the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise.
He is voiced by Michael McGaharn, Ryan Drummond, Scott Drier, Dan Green, Travis Willingham, and currently Dave B. Mitchell in English and by Nobutoshi Canna in Japanese.
What Makes Him a Shonen Hero?[]
- Heroic/Honorable: Knuckles has saved the world many times and is never shown to have fun killing his enemies.
- Courageous/Reckless: Knuckles often risks his life to save the day, and can be rather reckless when the Master Emerald is involved.
- Energetic: Knuckles is rather hotblooded.
- Stubborn: Whenever facing a big problem, Knuckles often solves it by force, and refuses to have anything else standing in his way.
- Pursues a Big-End Goal: Knuckles' main goal is to protect the Master Emerald from falling into the wrong hands.
- Hard-Working: Knuckles takes his duty to protecting the Master Emerald seriously, and also practices his fighting skills in his spare time.
- Optimistic: Despite his brooding and serious nature, and going through various hardships, Knuckles keeps his head up.
- Determined: Knuckles is extremely determined to the point nothing is able to stop him.
- Confident/Cocky: Knuckles is highly confident in his abilities and has moments of being cocky.
- Spiky Hair: Knuckles has spiky dreadlock-like quills on his head similar to hair.
- Unnatural Hair Color: Unlike real-life echidnas, he has red hair.
- Short-Tempered: Knuckles possesses a great deal of wrath to the point of picking fights, and while he has shown better control of his temper over time, he still maintains much of his wrath.
- Has a Rival: Knuckles has a rivalry with Rouge and a friendly rivalry with Sonic.
- Is a Blood Knight: Knuckles takes joy out of fighting enemies.
