Inuyasha is the titular main protagonist of the manga and anime series of the same name.
He was voiced by Kappei Yamaguchi in Japanese and Richard Ian Cox in English.
What Makes Him a Shonen Hero?[]
- Heroic/Honorable: Inuyasha has defeated Naraku and ended the threat he posed and displays a high code of honor, hardly ever killing his enemies.
- Courageous/Reckless: Inuyasha is known for his fierce fighting style and is extremely reckless.
- Energetic: Inuyasha has a highly hot-blooded and boisterous personality.
- Stubborn: Inuyasha can be rather impulsive and never backs down no matter what.
- Pursues a Big-End Goal: Initially, Inuyasha wishes to get the Shikon Jewel's fragments to become a full demon, although he eventually subverts that after bonding with his friends.
- Unintelligent: Inuyasha is not very bright, as well as being rather lacking in social terms.
- Believes in the Power of Friendship: As the series goes on, Inuyasha begins to show more care for his friends and will protect them from harm even if he is seriously injured
- Unnatural Hair Color: Silver.
- Short-Tempered: Inuyasha loses his cool often and can be rather rude (which also hides his insecurities as well). His full demon form further enhances his wrath.
- Has a Rival: Inuyasha has a rivalry with his brother Sesshomaru and has a slight rivalry with Kōga.
- Big Eater: Much thanks to his ancestry on his father's side, Inuyasha displays a massive appetite.
- Tragic Past: Inuyasha had two very major tragedies before the events of the series:
- Due to his status as a demon-human hybrid, Inuyasha grew up being ostracized by both groups, which led to him being rather cynical and cold.
- While he would later find a light in a relationship with Kikyō, he would later be tricked by Naraku to betray her and later lose her fully.
- Is a Blood Knight: Inuyasha smiles very often when fighting stronger opponents.
- Calls Out Attacks: Inuyasha calls out the following attacks:
- IRON REAVER SOUL STEALER!
- WIND SCAR!
- Is a Primary-Color Champion: Inuyasha has silver white hair and wears a red robe.
