Cruz Ramirez is the deuteragonist of Pixar's 18th full-length feature film Cars 3, the third installment in the Cars film series, and a minor character in its 2022 Disney+ spin-off miniseries Cars on the Road.
She is a racing trainer who helped her long-time idol Lightning McQueen get his racing mojo back so he can defeat Jackson Storm. Later, she becomes a racer herself as she has dreamed it since her youth, and garnered the chance to beat Jackson herself.
She is voiced by Cristela Alonzo.
What Makes Her a Shonen Hero?[]
- Heroic/Honorable: She helps train Lightning McQueen for the Florida 500 race to beat Jackson Storm. When McQueen gives her the chance to finish the race for him, she accepts and ultimately ends up beating Storm, winning the race for both her and McQueen.
- Energetic: She is described as sunny and fierce.
- Pursues a Big-End Goal: She dreams of becoming a racer like Lightning McQueen, whom she greatly admires and is a diehard fan for.
- Hard-Working: She helps train her longtime idol McQueen for the Florida 500 and ultimately ends up competing in the race herself, overcoming Jackson Storm even when he callously insults her and even slams her into a wall, and winning the race.

- Tragic Past: Hoping to be a racer for her entire life, she took up lessons with cars that were much bigger than her. However, when her first race was about to begin and the other cars were tensed up, she got worried and left, losing her only shot as a result. She had her chance and she choose not to take it, and instead began the career of a racing trainer.
- Forgiving: She forgives McQueen for yelling at her and goes with him to the Florida 500.
- Is a Primary-Color Champion: She has a yellow paint job, and blue Dinoco racing decals.
- Is a Challenge Seeker: She is just a trainer but strives to become a real racer someday because of McQueen.
- Is an Underdog: When Sterling tells her she isn't a racer, she is still motivated by McQueen to race in the Florida 500 to fulfill her dream, when Jackson Storm cruelly taunts her she ultimately manages to overcome him and win the race even when he tries slamming her into a wall.
