Courage is the titular main protagonist of Cartoon Network's animated TV series of the same name. He is the pet dog to Muriel Bagge and Eustace Bagge. He is shown to always to go out of his way to save Muriel whenever she is in danger.
He was voiced by Marty Grabstein.
What Makes Him A Shonen Hero?[]
- Heroic/Honorable: He constantly defeats dangerous villains, saving all the Nowhere.
- Courageous/Reckless: While usually cowardly, when faced with genuine threats, Courage is able to act extremely bravely.
- Energetic: He can be quite the energetic dog whenever he needs to run, whenever he gets scared and even when he screams.
- Pursues a Big-End Goal: To defend his owners from all sorts of evil threats lurking from outside their home.
- Hard-Working: When it comes to defend his owners, he puts a ridiculous amount of effort into defending them at all costs.
- Optimistic: Is usually in the good mood until something threats him or someone else.
- Determined: Won't leave his attempts to abandon his owners even despite Eustace's bitterness and Muriel's gullibility.
- Self-Sacrificing: Is more than willing to sacrifice himself when necessary.
- Believes in the Power of Friendship: Adores his owners dearly, even the abusive Eustace.
- Possesses Plot Armor: Nobody was able to kill him no matter what kinds of pain was inflicted onto Courage.
- Unnatural Hair Color: Pink fur is unusual for dogs.
- Has Rivals/Mentors: Anyone who threatens him on a daily basis is his rival.
- Has an Idol: Muriel is something like that to him.
- Tragic Past: Lost his parents as a puppy.
- Forgiving: Towards Eustace at least, he also appears to be much the same with Muriel as well.
