Steven Grant "Steve" Rogers, also known as Captain America, is one of the main protagonists of the Infinity Saga in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
He was portrayed by Chris Evans.
What Makes Him a Shonen Hero?[]
- Heroic/Honorable: Steve has saved the world and even the universe from dangerous threats such as the Red Skull, Ultron, and Thanos, and displays a high code of honor, such as never showing any pleasure in taking lives, and even feels bad about doing such in WW2, wanting every citizen evacuated before abandoning Novi Grad, and not allowing Vision to sacrifice himself to destroy the Mind Stone.
- Courageous: Steve never shows fear at danger and risks his life often, even back when he was a frail young man, as shown by how he was willing to cover a fake grenade with his body.
- Stubborn: No matter the warnings given to him, Steve never backs down or gives up on anything that he chose to perform.
- Pursues a Big-End Goal: Steve wants to protect the world from evil threats and fight for justice and freedom.
- Hard-Working: In The First Avenger, Steve trained his body to its full potential after being appointed to be Captain America.
- Optimistic: Even though he loses some of his optimism between the Infinity War-Endgame timeline, Steve still keeps his head up no matter what.
- Idealistic: Steve believes that freedom is important, and opposes any law, agency, and government that restrict them.
- Determined: Best represented by his quote "I can do this all day.", Steve is a very determined person that never steps away from anything.
- Believes in the Power of Friendship: Steve is very protective towards his friends, as shown by how he is willing to protect Bucky from being killed or captured.
- Possesses Plot Armor: Steve is able to conquer many life-threatening dangers throughout the series.
- Rebellious: In Civil War, Steve refuses to sign the Sokovia Accords due to its creation of political neglect and its overall restrictive nature toward hero duty.
- Tragic Past: Steve has experienced various traumas during before the events of The First Avenger. He grew up sickly, with many illnesses such as asthma, heart trouble, scarlet fever, which made him a victim of bullying. Furthermore, his mother was terminally ill from tuberculosis, and later died when he was 18.
- Forgiving: Despite the damage he performed as the Winter Soldier, Steve was willing to save Bucky from his past villainy, refusing to fight him and willing to stay with him to the end.
- Is a Primary-Colored Champion: His color scheme consists of the American flag's colors of red, white and blue.
