Asura is the titular main protagonist of Asura's Wrath.

In the English version, he was voiced by Liam O'Brien, while in Japanese, he was voiced by Hiroki Yasumoto.

What Makes Him a Shonen Hero?

• Heroic/Honorable: Asura values the lives of the innocent to the extent that he does not believe in sacrificing them for any reason, and, after being betrayed by his fellow comrades and killed, starts his journey of revenge. He eventually saves the world from Deus, Gohma Viltra, and Chakravartin.
• Courageous/Reckless: Asura is wrathfully bold against opponents.
• Energetic: Post-resurrection Asura is very hotblooded.
• Stubborn: Asura refuses to surrender to difficult situations throughout the game, a trait which has brought him from death.
• Pursues a Big-End Goal: After the betrayal, Asura manages to come back from death to start to rescue his daughter and protect her from conspiracy.
• Hard-Working: In Naraka, a realm of afterlife, Asura has been ascending the seemingly endless pillars for many years to return to the mortal world and have his revenge.
• Possesses Plot Armor: Asura has survived near-death situations and has come back from death thanks to his wrathful determination.

• Unnatural Hair Color: Asura's hair color is white.

• Has Rivals/Mentors: Yasha is his rival, and Augus is his mentor.
• Rebellious: Asura starts to rebel against Deus' force after being betrayed and killed by them. Asura also follows his own moral code.
• Tragic Past: Asura was framed and betrayed by his seven fellow comrades, who kidnapped his daughter and murdered his wife. Asura is then killed and sent to Hell, therefore starting his journey of revenge.
