Shinji is obviously a no-go here (in fact, I think he may even fit the ASP), Asuka doesn't meet enough of the basic traits IMO, Rei is pretty much her own archetype and Kaworu and Mari are more similar to a light novel hero and a shojo hero respectively to me. However, I'm still not sure entirely if the entire series should go under the drain or not.

I think they're okay. But first, can you name some expies for the first three? (although I feel it may not be necessary for Sonic to have a expy wiki as he is pretty much the Mascots with Attitude codifier in gaming with other video game characters such as Crash and Spyro being made to his image)

@Elmtree7945 Putting it into specifics, I would say a character who frequently gets into fights/breaks rules for fun or for no given reason would fit.
Characters who break rules for understandable and/or noble reasons (eg. Anya who got a Tonitrus Bolt after she punched Damian because she was annoyed by him, Harry who broke various school rules to save Hogwarts) wouldn’t fit though, while characters who lack a crime record but still do “delinquent-ish” behavior (such as Dash Parr) fit.

To put it fairly, a delinquent is supposed to be somebody, usually young, who breaks rules of all regards on a regular basis (mostly for fun and/or out of petty reasons), and so, this would mean that, if a Shonen Hero commits a crime/crimes, it does not make them a delinquent.

Revisiting this, since Goku’s back on the NPG wiki, I would vote for him now if he was on this poll.
Definitely Goku or Naruto.
I like Naruto because of his character arc, which revolves around him going from a prankster hated by everyone to a great hero, as well as his boundless determination in his path to become Hokage. And so, that is why he is the hyperactive knuckle headed ninja.
Goku on the other hand is because he is the one that started it all, and without him, this whole era of Shonen would never happen. Not only that, he also lacks many of the flaws protagonists that follow him have (a legendary and powerful bloodline, happening to have acquired something no one has), and thus, he is the Super Saiyan! SON GOKU!

For me, it's definitely Bakarot (DBE Goku), while this wiki has quite a lot of stinkers among its ranks, he definitely stood out for me just because of how much of a betrayal of Goku he is and the fact that he is far too Spiderman-esque (high school student who loses close family member and becomes hero) with no charisma of the webslinger either at all.

For me it’d be a tie between Natsu, Asta and Ichigo.
I personally would go for Naruto because, well, he’s Naruto.
